Mr. Scherer maintains oversight and advisory responsibility in areas that include loan servicing, defaulted asset remarketing, MH industry liaison and business development, deal structuring and strategic planning. Prior to joining HAS Capital, Mr. Scherer was President and COO of Origen Financial, Inc. (Public, OTC: “ORGN”), the nation’s second largest (in annual loan origination volume) Manufactured Housing lender and the only Moody’s-rated servicer in the industry Mr. Scherer earned a J.D. at the University of Detroit School of Law and B.A. from Michigan State University.
